It was in 1993 that the adventure began for Mr. Denis Kuentz, when he opened his first establishment in the town of Sausheim, 5 km from Mulhouse. The hotel offered 83 rooms and was ranked in the “2-star” category.

Mr. KUENTZ, Alsatian by birth, former manufacturer of pasta, went into the hotel business even though he had never worked in it.
But at a time when low-cost accommodation was booming, he had an idea for a simple concept: an offer of accommodation with excellent comfort, in the 2-star category, for an “economical” price.
Why? So that people traveling for business could have the same comfort as at home.

Mr. Kuentz imagined and designed a concept with simple, rational construction that was easy to maintain.

The hotels are built with cellular concrete bricks, 36.5 cm thick, which gives them excellent thermal and sound insulation properties. The buildings meet anti-earthquake norms and have the final appearance of any comfortable hotel.
